Hello GACSRI members and friends! We hope you like the new format of our monthly newsletter, which will now be shared via our blog each month. We'll continue to send this to all of our members and followers via email and promote on our social media channels, as well.
Game Night at the GACS - Thursday, February 10th, 7pm
Every month on the second Thursday, you can join an intimate group gathered to enjoy an intentionally "low-tech" evening of old fashioned games.
No explosions, no zombies, no martial arts devastation. Just good people, "pot luck" essen and of course, great German beer on tap.
Come on down!! You'll have a great time. Reservations not required.
February Trachtenabend - Friday, February 18th, 7pm
Due to overwhelmingly positive reviews, Tubafrau Hofbräu Band will return to the Ratskeller for February's Trachtenbend!
With expected high demand and space constraints, February's Trachtenabend will also be a completely pre-ticketed event. Only guests who pre-purchase a ticket will be allowed entrance to the Ratskeller.
Ticket cost is $18 per guest and all tickets come with the evenings pre-plated meal. Dinner will feature Sauerbraten, Spätzle & Rotkohl (red cabbage)! You can purchase tickets via the link below.
FC Bayern Match Day in the Ratskeller - Sunday, February 20th, 9am
Join the GACSRI's own FC Bayern München supporters group, the Rhode Island Roten, to watch select Bayern matches in the Ratskeller. All Fußball fans are welcome!
FC Bayern takes on SpVgg Greuther Fürth, kick off for the match is 9:30am and the Ratskeller will open at 9am. This is a potluck style event, so bring some breakfast items to share! A full bar will of course be available. RSVP's not required to attend.
Fasching - Saturday, February 26th, 6pm
Join us on Saturday, February 26th for our annual Fasching celebration! This will be a completely pre-ticketed event and tickets will be sold online at $10 per guest. Limited tickets will be sold and due to expected demand we recommend guests purchase early to avoid missing out.
Live music will be provided by one of the GACSRI's favorites: the Bavarian Brothers Band! Doors open at 6pm and the Bavarian Brothers take the stage at 7pm.
There will be a cash/credit bar available with a special Lenten season German beer on tap (full draft list coming soon). The kitchen will also be open serving Bierocks for $5 each and a chicken & sausage Jambalaya for $8 per bowl. Our friends from Burgundian Waffles will also be on hand offering their famous Liège waffle dishes.
A costume contest will also be held with prizes for the winners, so we recommend everyone dress up! Tickets available via the button below.
