German Cultural Auxiliary Groups

The GACSRI is home to several German cultural groups and activities for both members and non-members to enjoy. From dance to language to song to sport - we offer something for everyone. Explore all of our groups below.

Alpenblumen Schuhplattlers

They continue to capture the essence of joy and celebration embodied in the Traditional Folk Dances of Germany. Great people - great exercise - great fun.

How are your pipes? Traditional songs performed in a traditional way. Join in or come and hear us perform. 

GACSRI Pawtucket German Language Classes

Maybe your German needs some brushing up.Maybe you don't know German at all. Either way, you can get plenty of help at GACSRI. Classes available for all ages and skill levels.

Open game night, for new gamers and old salts alike. Come play your favorites, or someone else's. Hosted on the second Thursday of the month.

Even if you can't roll out the barrel, you'll have a barrel of fun when you attend one of our famous Polka events. You can just watch if you want - but we encourage everyone to get up and get out on the dance floor.

The GACSRI is home to Rhode Island's only officially-sanctioned supporters club of FC Bayern Munich: Die Rhode Island Roten (The Rhode Island Reds).
